Jefferson Parish/Solutient Receive $25M in SRL Grant Funding

On August 21, 2009, Jefferson Parish was presented with $25,426,573 in grant funding for the mitigation of 151 Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) properties. Solutient staff members have worked closely with Parish officials, GOHSEP and FEMA since July of 2008 to facilitate the approval of the first major grant award under the SRL Pilot Program. Intended to reduce future flood losses through elevation or mitigation reconstruction, the SRL Program Grant award is a major success in Jefferson Parish’s effort to create a better quality of life for its residents.
